Small needle – big effect: how can acupuncture help you?

Acupuncture – ancient wisdom for your well-being
Acupuncture is a centuries-old healing method rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). With fine needles at specific points, the natural flow of energy in the body can be stimulated, blockages released, and balance restored. The aim is to harmonize body and mind, helping you feel more relaxed, mobile, and in tune with yourself.
At my practice in Berlin-Neukölln, I use acupuncture to treat both musculoskeletal conditions and constitutional issues. Depending on the patient’s needs, I use classical acupuncture based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), dry needling, or electroacupuncture—always tailored to the individual and, when necessary, combined with movement guidance, exercises, breathing therapy, nutritional counseling, and other manual therapies.
Holistic diagnosis – an integrated approach
In TCM, not only symptoms are considered but the person as a whole. Physical and emotional imbalances are often interconnected. With a detailed assessment, I develop an individual treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Every acupuncture treatment is tailored to you. During a consultation, we’ll discuss your symptoms and work together to determine the areas of focus. This allows us to create a treatment plan that’s perfectly suited to you.
Acupuncture for the Musculoskeletal System
Acupuncture is very effective for pain, muscle tension, and functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. It can help reduce tension, alleviate pain, and improve mobility. In my practice, I primarily use the following techniques for the musculoskeletal system:
- Acupucture
- Dry Needling
- Electro-Acupuncture (EA)
Acupuncture—and electroacupuncture in particular—can also be a helpful treatment for nerve pain, neuralgic symptoms, or radiating pain patterns. Depending on the patient’s needs, I combine these methods with movement guidance, exercises, breathing therapy, and other manual techniques. Especially with recurring or chronic symptoms, it often becomes clear that lasting change doesn’t come from isolated interventions alone, but from the interplay of treatment, self-regulation, and active participation. I’ll be there to support you every step of the way.

Dry Needling – Targeted Relief for Tension and Pain
In addition to traditional acupuncture, I also offer dry needling. This method specifically targets so-called trigger points in the muscles, which can be responsible for persistent tension. Inserting needles directly into these points can help the muscles relax noticeably.
Dry needling can be a little uncomfortable at first, but it is very effective—especially for shoulder and neck pain, tension in the legs, or lower back pain.
Dry Needling may feel slightly uncomfortable because the needle is placed directly into tense muscle areas. Some people describe a short pulling sensation or muscle twitch. Afterwards, a muscle soreness similar to a workout may occur, but it usually fades quickly. The treatment is considered very safe and is always adjusted to your personal pain tolerance.
Many people feel noticeable relief in terms of pain reduction and improved mobility after the first session.
Best Heilpraktikerin I know. She regularly and successfully helps me relieve my back and shoulder pain with massage and acupuncture. She always seems to know exactly where the pain points are. Also ongoing migraine treatment, with which I am very satisfied. Highly recommended!
Acupuncture According to TCM for Constitutional Issues
Acupuncture is not only effective for musculoskeletal conditions, but also for constitutional issues. In TCM, the human being is viewed as a whole—taking into account physical, emotional, and autonomic connections. Acupuncture has proven to be an effective method, particularly for stress, sleep problems, and chronic conditions.
By combining various methods, we create a personalized treatment plan that takes your individual needs into account. This allows us to address your specific concerns, release blockages in your energy flow, and also focus on preventive care. Possible areas of application include, among others:
- Back pain & joint problems
- Sleep disorders
- Back pain & joint problems
- Migraines & headaches
- Immune system support
- Digestive issues
- Skin conditions
- Recovery after infections / Post-Covid
Why a holistic approach matters
Acupuncture is effective for both acute and chronic conditions. By combining various methods, we create a personalized treatment plan that takes your individual needs into account.
Depending on the issue, I complement acupuncture with:
- Movement counseling
- Exercises
- Nutrition Counseling
- Breath Therapy
- Chiropractic and other manual and naturopathic therapies
When body awareness, self-regulation, and active support come together, not only can symptoms be alleviated, but movement patterns, resilience, and overall well-being can often be positively influenced in the long term.
Individual treatment – as unique as you are
Every acupuncture treatment is tailored to you. During our first consultation, we discuss your symptoms and determine the right focus for your therapy. This way, a treatment plan is developed that fits your needs and everyday life.
I had never tried acupuncture before. I decided to do it because I had severe lower back pain and was almost immobile – and the experience and results were truly impressive! Nelly did a great job, was very kind, and also helped me understand where the pain came from and which external factors were influencing it. The session included massage and acupuncture, it was my first time with this technique and I was surprised. I highly recommend this cozy place with a good atmosphere – but above all, Nelly’s professionalism and excellent work. Thank you, I feel much better now 🙂

Questions?
Do you have questions about acupuncture or my treatment approach? I offer a free telephone consultation and look forward to speaking with you.
Acupuncture is an ancient method from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Fine needles are inserted at specific points to harmonize the body’s energy flow (Qi) and release blockages. The aim is to restore balance between body, mind, and soul.
We begin with a detailed consultation, where I take the time to get to know you holistically. Based on this information, I create an individualized acupuncture treatment plan for you. If needed, additional therapy methods may be integrated – depending on what you require.
An initial session usually lasts about 50–65 minutes. Follow-up treatments may take around 30 minutes. Many people notice improvements after just a few sessions. For chronic conditions, several treatments may be beneficial.
Acupuncture is generally very well tolerated and safe. In rare cases, small bruises, mild fatigue, or slight dizziness may occur.
Yes, I offer free telephone consultations. This allows us to clarify together whether acupuncture is the right option for you.
